12V lithium suits small systems: a flat, a single room, a small shop, or a backup installation covering lights, a television, a router and phone charging. It is also the natural building block when several units are combined, though you must respect the manufacturer’s series and parallel limits.

Which chemistry matters more than it looks. A 12V lithium battery gives you about 85% usable capacity against roughly 50% for an equivalent lead-acid unit, does not need water top-ups, and tolerates Nigerian heat considerably better.
